This includes people struggling with complex needs such as alcohol dependency, drug taking and the related causes of mental health, trauma, loneliness or poverty. This programme provides people in recovery with training on healthy eating and matthew, money management, friendship, arts and activities outdoors. Today Thursday, September 27 the Matthew Project will hold their 'Light in Darkness' service to remember those lost or suffering from alcohol or drug addiction. The Matthew Project - Youth Team About this service The Matthew Project Youth Team works around the county with young people under the age of 25, regarding drugs, alcohol and other related issues. We help these beneficiaries to achieve better physical and mental health, better relationships with others, and overall better quality of life, along with access to more opportunities.

The charity has identified a need to provide a place for people who often have nowhere to go when they enter recovery after treatment in Norwich and across Norfolk.

Over this time, we have built up a reputation for delivering matthwe quality, effective services, focusing on both prevention and treatment. We visit schools, youth clubs and areas where young people hang out across Norfolk to offer a creative, enthusiastic and dynamic approach to drug education. We believe that every person, no matter norwih age or background, deserves the chance to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.

We started off in as a small local charity prohect a vision to support disadvantaged people across Norfolk. As well as the individuals themselves, our work also creates social change and improvements to the local community in a range of different ways. We aim to help young people understand the effects of drugs and alcohol, empowering them to make more informed choices.

We also provide outreach services across the county including taking our Voicebox caravan to places where young people hang out and detached outreach. We provide alcohol workshops to Youth Offending Team attendance Centres and other venues delivering formal and informal education.
