Two of our painters,Jon Macadam and Sandra Belock Phippen will be here painting on site at different points in the day. There will also be singalong and various guest music performances.

Nutcracker Storytime,Craft Dace Lesson and Performance – meet at the table in the store
Dance instructor, Leza Milham, owner of Creative Arts Dace Conservatory in Essex will be reading the story of the Nutcracker, teaching a dance piece from the ballet, and making a craft to use as a prop in the performance. Performance in the top of the Barn at 11:30.

A Swedish Folk Tale by Astrid Lindgren come to life. Learn about Scandinavian gnomes, called Tometens and look for the one that lives at Rivers and Roads.
A Look Back at a Christmas Past -Story and Craft time- meet at the table in the store
Listen to the picture book version of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House in the big woods.
Discover what made Christmas special for a child back then and share some of your favorite traditions now. Make an old time decoration for you to bring home and put on your tree. Parents and Kids both invited.
Bring your Holiday nutrition questions to our partner nutritionist, Marnie Lawler and/or your life’s questions to a favorite Town Vicar, Tim Ziegenhals. They will be at the table inside the store
The holidays are meant to be a special time but can also be stressful. Our partner Nutritionist will be here to give her advice for you and your family and the pastor of our own Congregational Church here in Essex will be around to answer questions, and offer advice and encouragement.
